Friday, November 7th, Pottery Retreat #2 with Southern Living Senior Food Editor Josh Miller and Lauren Scott of Wild Goose Gardens
Friday, November 7th
Saturday, November 8th (second project) Demo + Dinner
Yoga (optional)
Brunch
Project 2
We are honored to welcome Senior Food Editor Josh Miller and Lauren Scott of Wild Goose Gardens + Pottery as instructors for this unique pottery class. Their combined expertise in artisanal craftsmanship and thoughtful design promises an inspiring, enriching, and uber-fun experience for all participants.
Nurture your creative spirit at our fall Pottery Retreat at Andiamo Lodge. This exclusive two-day, one-night immersive experience will introduce you to the practice of hand-building with clay, a uniquely creative technique that’s incredibly easy to learn and enjoy.
Friday Night: During the retreat, you’ll embark upon two maker journeys. The weekend will start with an easy, guided stroll through the woodlands where we’ll collect native botanicals that you’ll use to add texture and character to our signature Coffee Table Bowls.
At nightfall, we’ll enjoy a gourmet dinner and drinks on the patio. After a restful sleep at Andiamo, we’ll kick off the morning with an optional yoga class. You will then roll right into a gourmet breakfast along with plenty of mimosas and the Andiamo Let’s Go Joe for everyone.
Up next … the Final Project: Handmade Oyster Plates. Using oyster shells from the North East. We will craft unique serving pieces that can also double as deviled egg platters.
You’ll leave this retreat grateful for the gourmet food, the creative fulfillment, some new, wonderful pottery made by YOU, and some new creative friends.
The price includes all supplies for both projects, a welcome cocktail and gourmet dinner, yoga class, and a wonderful brunch.
Bonus Saturday Night: Guests who stay Saturday evening will be invited to a special culinary demonstration with Southern Living Senior Food Editor Josh Miller. He’ll be making his beloved grandmother’s cheese straws, which we’ll enjoy as an appetizer before dinner. Crispy, cheesy, salty, and spicy, they’re the perfect savory snack—and everyone will get to take some home. Then a seafood dinner by Crabby Steve!
